Support the club

A national record on a high school budget

We are seventy students in a school library on Wednesday afternoons. We have won the Mines CTF twice, taken first at CyberQuest, and put six teams into CyberPatriot Platinum. None of that came with funding attached.

Here is the honest version. Everything this club has done so far, it has done without a donation. A gift to us covers the whole operation: CreekCTF, this website, snacks at competitions and meets, and the rest of the small costs that keep Wednesday afternoons going.

The one thing we care about is that money is never the reason a kid sits out a competition they are good enough to enter.

We do not buy equipment. Practice happens on school-issued computers in the Tech Lab and the Computer Science Lab. Donations go to running the club, not to stocking a closet of laptops.

Where it goes

What a donation actually pays for

One pot. These are the things it covers.

CreekCTF

Our own competition is free to enter for every school that comes. Hosting, infrastructure, and food for the day are paid for from here.

Running the club

This website, the tools behind it, and the ordinary costs of meeting every Wednesday. Not a facility. Not a staff. Just keeping the club actually running.

Food at meets

Snacks at competitions and at club meetings. Unspectacular, and the part people actually notice on a Saturday in a computer lab.

Not only money

Time helps just as much

Several of these are worth more to us than a check, and cost you nothing but an afternoon.

Come in person

  • Come talk about what you actually do
  • Mentor a competition team for a season
  • Judge at CreekCTF in the spring
  • Help run a workshop at a library

How to give

You could be the first one to donate

Nobody has given yet. A donation link from our sponsors is on the way. Until it is live, email us and we will tell you the cleanest way to give.
